Q: Is drinking milk and consuming dairy products safe?
A: Yes. In fact, extensive testing and research has revealed that milk, including milk from cows infected with BSE, does not contain the infective agent. Thus, according to scientific experts including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, World Health Organization (WHO), and the EU Scientific Steering Committee, milk and milk products, such as cheese, yogurt, ice cream, even in countries with high incidence of BSE, can be safely consumed.
