Because of the citric acid content in the product, we do not recommend storing it in a metal container. When a product containing citric acid is stored in a metal container, the product may take on a metallic taste. The use of a metal spoon to mix the product would be fine to use because of the limited contact with the product. To maintain the quality of the product, we suggest storing it in a non-metallic container.
