Q: How much does a bag of chocolate chunks or a box of chocolate yield?
A: A 12 once bag of chocolate chunks yields 2 cups of chunks.

Bars:

Grated, squares per cup (unsweetened; semi-sweet, white):
3 squares per cup, with medium grater
2-3/4 squares per cup, with fine grater; powdery

Variation may be due to air space in grated product.

Melted:
6-oz. chocolate (chunks or bar) yields 1/2 cup melted chocolate
4-oz. yields 1/3 cup melted
1-oz. yields 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon

Unmelted:

GERMAN'S Sweet:
4 1/2 squares = 1 oz. (18 squares/ 4 oz bar)

Semi Sweet, Unsweetened & White Chocolate:
1 square = 1 oz. (each square breaks into 1/2 oz. pieces)
(White Chocolate comes in 6 oz. size containing 6 - 1oz squares)
