Q: What are the different varieties of nuts?
A: There are two basic varieties of nuts, "ground nuts" and "tree nuts". As you might expect, groundnuts grow in the ground. Peanuts are groundnuts. Tree nuts grow on trees and include varieties such as almonds, filberts, cashews, walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios and macadamias. Planters markets the following types of nuts: Peanuts, Cashews, Walnuts, Almonds, and Pistachios.
