Q: My COOL WHIP Whipped TOPPING is frozen. What is the best way to thaw it out?
A:

The best way to thaw COOL WHIP is in its container in the refrigerator.  Depending on the size tub you have, the thawing time varies:

The 8 ounce container thaws in 4 hours
The 12 ounce container thaws in 5 hours
The 16 ounce container thaws in 6 hours

We DO NOT recommend thawing COOL WHIP in the microwave.  Since ovens vary in wattage, it is difficult to give effective directions due to this variability.

COOL WHIP may be thawed and refrozen 4 or 5 times (keeps 2-3 months in household freezer; however only use up until the Best When Used By date)
