Q: How long may I store my GOOD SEASONS Salad Dressing Mix and how can I tell if it has expired?
A: We code our products with something called a "code date."  This information is printed as a "Best When Used By" date that looks like this: JAN 07 2008.

The code date may be printed in two areas:

On individual packets, the code date can be found on the back panel of the envelope around the directions or directly above the UPC bar code.

On CRUET KITS, the code date appears on the back panel, near the bottom.

For "Best When Used By" dates: this is the date by which the product should be consumed, given that it's stored in a cool, dry place before preparation and refrigerated after preperation.  An example of the "Best When Used By" date looks this: 07 JAN 08, and is read "Best When Used By January 7th, 2008.
