All of our products have what is called a code date.  This date can be considered a Best When Purchased By Date.

The Best When Purchased By Date on your JELL-O Ready-To-Eat Snacks (pudding or gelatin) can be found printed around the sides of the individual cups or on the top of the cardboard sleeve.

The Best When Purchased By Date is the date by which the product should either be purchased by the consumer or removed from store shelves by the retailer.

An example of the date would appear as:

ON SLEEVE:  MAY 17 / 08 = Best When Used by Date
                                            OR
                        17FEB08 = Best When Used by Date

ON CUP:  MAY 17 2008
               8034MC115003

8034= Julian Date
MC = Plant Code
115003= Production Time, Shift

When a Best When Purchased By Date is provided, consumption of the product by that date, will ensure that you consume the product at peak freshness and quality.
