A: STORING PREPARED RECIPES IN THE FREEZER

  • As a general guideline, most recipes containing both 1/3 Less Fat and regular cream cheese can be frozen up to six weeks
  • Baked items such as cheesecakes, poundcakes and cookies can be frozen up to 2 months
  • Wrap foods securely in airtight packaging. Label and date
  • Cool hot foods in the refrigerator before freezing
  • Keep uncooked foods (i.e. dips, cheeseballs) chilled until ready to freeze
  • To thaw a recipe: place wrapped food in the refrigerator for approximately 12 hours or overnight
