Q: How do I store Kraft PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese recipes?
A: STORAGE OF PREPARED RECIPES

  • Cakes and cookies made with cream cheese do not require refrigeration
  • Baked cheesecakes that contain cream cheese must be refrigerated
  • Fillings and toppings should be kept refrigerated
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND FREEZING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Any recipes using PHILADELPHIA® Cream Cheese that also call for eggs
  • Cheesecakes that contain sour cream
  • Refrigerated or no-bake cheesecakes prepared with gelatin
  • Frosting prepared with Light Neufchatel cheese
  • Recipes that contain a white sauce, gelatin, mayonnaise or salad dressing

FROSTING

  • Cakes with frosting containing cream cheese need to be stored in refrigerator up until serving time, to retain fresh flavor and quality
  • Replace any remaining cake, plus any unused portion of the cream cheese frosting, in refrigerator
  • Only frosting made with regular PHILADELPHIA® Cream Cheese can be frozen

STORING PREPARED RECIPES IN THE FREEZER
  • As a general guideline, most recipes containing both 1/3 Less Fat and regular cream cheese can be frozen up to six weeks
  • Baked items such as cheesecakes, poundcakes and cookies can be frozen up to 2 months
  • Wrap foods securely in airtight packaging. Label and date
  • Cool hot foods in the refrigerator before freezing
  • Keep uncooked foods (i.e. dips, cheeseballs) chilled until ready to freeze
  • To thaw a recipe: place wrapped food in the refrigerator for approximately 12 hours or overnight
